Happy H-Owl-loween!

In honor of Halloween, I went out in search of owls this evening. Luck was on my side, and I found this owl.

Unfortunately, the owl was in a tricky spot for taking photos. Tons of poison oak, a uneven slope, and a strange angle all made for difficult photography.

I had seen this owl a couple of weeks earlier and managed to get a few more open shots a little bit after sunset (including the top photo and the one below).
